EGGY 'egi/ Adjective

rich in or covered in egg

The egg is the organic vessel containing the zygote in which an embryo develops until it can survive on its own, at which point the animal hatches. An egg results from fertilisation of an egg cell. Most arthropods, vertebrates (excluding live-bearing mammals), and mollusks lay eggs, although some, such as scorpions, do not.

Eggy Records is a music collective based in Birkenhead, Merseyside. Conceived on the banks of the Mersey staring at the Liverpool skyline – it’s primary aim was to expose the local underground and try in some way to unite it where possible. An amateur operation run out of bedrooms, squalid praccy rooms and mums’ houses we aim to try and bring together artists who are sonically diverse but united by outsiderism.

From anarchic half naked showcases in the bowels of Liverpool’s iconic dive bar Sound to playing school fun days in the town Lenin was born in: Eggy avoids any label it’s given, shifting as and when it’s needed.
